The Computest hardness tester works with a static testing load in the Rockwell system. By means of a single pressure movement the necessary pre-load and the testing load will be automatically applied to the specimen. When releasing the test load, the device will automatically show in his LCD-display the measured hardness. It stores up to 400 tests and computes automatically the standard deviation and the average value of the tests.
